Nancy Yurk

March 30, 1946 — March 17, 2021

Sheboygan

Nancy M. Yurk, 74, of Sheboygan passed away on March 17, 2021, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Nancy was born on March 30, 1946, in Sheboygan to the late Henry C. and G. Margaret (Mell) Yurk.  In 1964, Nancy graduated from Sheboygan North High School.  She went on to earn a Bachelors of Arts degree in 1968 from UW-Oshkosh.  She was employed in a variety of teaching and sales positions in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and California. She loved all mediums of art and dabbled in weaving and batiking as well as her on-the-job love of designing office layouts for firms such as Krueger International, and Steelcase. Her retirement provided extra time to spend with her much loved niece and nephew, Katie and Matt, and their children.

Nancy is survived by a sister, Phyllis (Joe) DeLorme; a nephew Matthew (Allison) DeLorme; a niece Kathryn (Eric) Rooker; and cousins, Darcy (Bill) Meyer of Shawano, Bill Schmidt of Brillion, and Joan Reisinger of Sheboygan as well as second cousins.  Along with her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Following Nancy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park on what would have been her 75th Birthday, March 30, 2021.  A family memorial will be held at that time.  No other services will be held.  Please remember Nancy for her larger than life smile and appetite for life.

The family would like to thank Dr. Saad at Froedtert Hospital for his continued support over the years as well as the staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the care given to Nancy.  A special note of thanks to the girls: Sue, Kathy, Ilona and Nancy, for their long distance love and support. “I could not stay another day.  To love, to laugh, to work or play.  Tasks left undone must stay that way.  And if my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy.”
