Virginia “Ginny” Marie Neuhaus, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. She was born in the Town of Schleswig, in Manitowoc County on June 15, 1942 to the late Lawrence and Hildegard (Gierke) Schweitzer. She was a 1960 graduate of Kiel High School. On June 17, 1961, she was united in marriage to Elmer Neuhaus. Together they raised four children: Steve, Ken, Dave, and Sherri.

Ginny was a hard worker all of her life. She worked for Bemis Manufacturing Company for over 30 years, earning her retirement in 2006. She liked to garden, play cards and bingo, and loved her cats. Above all, Ginny loved spending time with her family. Ginny will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Ginny is survived by her children: Steve Neuhaus, Ken Neuhaus, Dave (Toni) Neuhaus, and Sherri (Reini) Goeks; her grandchildren: Andrew (Kim) Rieth and Melissa (Jordon) Jones; and her great-grandchildren Adaline and Wesley Rieth, Aiden and Avalyn Jones. She is further survived by her siblings: Dale (Leticia) Schweitzer, Marvin (Joan) Schweitzer, Marie Schwinn and Irene Neuhaus; her sister-in-law Karen Vandoske, as well as other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Ginny is preceded in death by her husband Elmer, and her brothers Ronald (Chloe) and Terry Schweitzer.

Burial will take place at Bethel Cemetery, Cleveland, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

A Celebration of Ginny’s life will take place from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Howards Grove Rod and Gun Club, N9548 Meadowlark Rd, Cleveland, following burial at the cemetery.
