Thomas Schmitt

Thomas C. Schmitt, 78, of Sheboygan, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 at his home. Tom was born April 6, 1938 in Sheboygan to Robert M. and Marcella (Rosenthal) Schmitt. On May 20, 1978 he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Lubach. Tom worked in construction for Joe Schmitt & Sons and Quasius Construction, and various other companies.
Being in his yard working and spending time fishing were his passion.
Tom is survived by his wife of 38 years Mary Jane, by his sister Barbara Jurk, Sisters-in-law; Loretta E. Schmitt, Pam (Les) Aschenbach, LuAnn (Jack) Lundin, and Janice (John) Jurss, by his brother-in-law David (Carole) Lubach, and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Donald Schmitt and Richard (Shirley) Schmitt, sister Marlene (David) Dickmann, and brother-in-law Harold Jurk.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Zimmer-Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd., Sheboygan, with Rev. Tom Fleishmann officiating. Inurnment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Tom's name.
