Thomas P. Ehrenberg

Thomas P. Ehrenberg, age 75, of Howards Grove, passed away with his loving wife, Debby, by his side, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at his home.

He was born in Menasha, WI on September 18, 1949, to the late Lewis and Joyce (Dieball) Ehrenberg. Following his high school graduation, Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1969 to 1972. He was a part of the honor guard with the American Legion Auxiliary Franklin Unit 387. Tom was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Howards Grove, where he would usher and hold many conversations with other church members.

On January 19, 1973, Tom was united in marriage to the love of his life, Debra Bakkom. He furthered his education at Fox Valley Technical College, receiving a degree in Computer Tech. Tom was also a member of the Sheboygan County Conservation Club and the New London Bass Club for many years.

Tom enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, traveling, and camping. Above all, spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow up was his favorite. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Tom survived by his wife of 51 years, Debby; children, Tamra Bakkom, Tanya (Tim VanDyck) Allen and Beth Melis; grandchildren, Clay Melis and Kaylee Allen; a brother, Robert (Lori) Ehrenberg and his furry companions, Koda, Lulu, and Ruby.

Along with parents, Tom was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Cliff (Madelene) Bakkom.

A Memorial Service for Tom will take place at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 441 Millersville Ave. in Howards Grove, with Pastor Adam Bode officiating. Family will greet visitors on Tuesday, at church from NOON until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
