Susan Ann Herr

October 18, 1956 — May 18, 2024

Cleveland

Susan Ann Herr, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 18, 2024 at Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan. She was born on October 18, 1956 in Cleveland, Wisconsin to DuWayne and JoAnn (Reinert) Huhn.  On August 24, 1974, she married her true soulmate Michael Herr in their hometown of Cleveland.

Susan was a great cook, a talented gardener, and lover of all living things. She also loved to travel with family, visiting South Dakota, Minnesota and Arkansas, and camping in her home state. Her family remembers fondly her beautiful Koi Pond; in fact, her sister lived right next door and shared in her love of growing beautiful flowers in the garden.  She adored animals, and had many different furry friends over the years. Once, she even rescued a group of young raccoons from the road!  Everyone knew Susan in Cleveland, and she enjoyed visiting with her friends and neighbors, especially at Bondes.  Above all, she loved spending time with her family.  The sun rose and set on her grandchildren, and she adored sharing her life and the things she cared about with them.  The world could use more people like Susan.

Susan is survived by her husband of 50 years, Michael, and her children Joshua (Alina) Herr, Jolinda (Jason) Gorzelanczyk, and Jonathan (Liz) Herr.  She is further survived by her beloved grandchildren Avery Herr, Alexis Kaplan, Athena Gorzelanczyk, Owen Gorzelanczyk, Breydin Herr, Gavin Belekevich, Sophia Herr, and Aubrey Herr, a great-grandchild Landon Kaplan, her father DuWayne Huhn, siblings Sandy (Wally) Hemb and Robert (Heather) Huhn, and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother JoAnn Huhn, her brother Wayne Huhn and her precious fur babies, Quincy and Star.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wisconsin Humane Society in honor of Susan’s love for animals.
