Steven J. Puksich, age 80, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, September 7, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.

He was born in Sheboygan on October 6, 1945, to the late Ambrose and Margaret (Schroeder) Puksich Sr. He graduated from North High School in 1965. On February, 4, 1967, Steve married the love of his life, Jacqueline Toerpe at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church. Steve proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He spent his entire working career at Vollrath Company, wearing many hats by the time he retired in 2007. He was a member of St. John UCC.

Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. Above all, Steve loved spending time with his family and creating memories that will last a lifetime. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Along with his wife, Jackie, Steve is survived by his children, Timothy (Melissa), Tracy (Walter) Fick and Tina (Shawn) Van Sluys; grandchildren, Kelton (Bryann) Fick, Kella Fick, Kelsey (Dalton) Burke, Eric, Philip, Emily and Abigail Puksich and Allison and Haley Van Sluys; a great-grandchild on the way; siblings, Betty Kauger and George (Lois) Puksich and a sister-in-law, Susan Puksich; nieces, nephews, other family and friends further survive.

Along with his parents, Steve was preceded in death by sisters, Marianne (Erwin) Wuestenhagen, Kathleen (David) Hiebing, Louise (Bernard) Neils and brothers, John (Betty), Ambrose (Karen), James, Joseph and Anthony.

A Funeral Service with military honors for Steve will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Zimmer Westview Funeral Home, W2132 Garton Road in Sheboygan, with Pastor Judine Duerwaechter officiating. Family will greet visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Steve will be entombed at the Garden of Peace Mausoleum in Kohler. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Steve’s name.
