Sandra Jane Post, age 73, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of those who held her dear on June 5, 2026.

Sandra was born on May 23, 1953, to Robert and Bernice Dern. She grew up in Sheboygan and graduated from Sheboygan North High School with the Class of 1972.

On September 24, 1977, Sandra married the love of her life, Douglas Post, at Ebenezer United Church of Christ. Together, they shared a loving marriage built on companionship, quiet joys, and treasured memories.

Sandra was a gifted seamstress whose talent and creativity brought comfort and beauty to many. She lovingly knitted and crocheted countless treasured pieces, creating beautiful afghans in many different patterns for family and friends to enjoy. She was a passionate gardener and took pride in nurturing flowers and plants. Some of her favorite moments were spent reading books while fishing alongside her husband, Douglas. Sandra also cherished time spent traveling with her dear friends, especially to some of her favorite places, including Shawano and Oconto, Wisconsin.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Douglas Post; her twin brothers, Gary Dern and Glenn Dern; brothers-in-law, Dale (Pamela) Post, Lee Allen (Barbara) Post, and Jeffrey (Karen) Post; sisters-in-law, Diane (Bruce) Beringer, Debbie Odekirk, Jacqueline (Kerry) Nash, Joanie (Ron) Cleveland, and Sandy (Timothy) Bogenschuetz; special friends, Sharon Long, Carol Stahl, and Shannon Stahl; her God-child, Matt Stahl; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.

Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Robert and Bernice Dern; her father-in-law, Darwin Post; and mother-in-law, Evelyn Post.

A time of visitation will be held in honor of Sandra on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm at Zimmer Westview, W2132 Garton Rd., Sheboygan. Following visitation, burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave., Kohler.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Aurora At Home Hospice for the compassionate care and support they provided to Sandra and her loved ones.

Sandra’s kindness, creativity, and gentle spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
