Sandra M. Horneck, age 81, of Kohler, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 28, 2024.
She was born in Sheboygan on September 20, 1942, to the late Clayton and Mildred (Zuhlke) Hill. She attended grade school in Pardeeville, WI and graduated from Kohler High School. On February 8, 1964, Sandra was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Gordon Horneck at Grace UCC in Kohler.
She enjoyed bowling and taking vacations with her daughter, Susan. Sandra was an amazing mother, raising their three children. She especially loved her three golden retrievers, Sugar, Maggie, and Abby, who were all waiting for her at the rainbow bridge. Above all, family meant the world to Sandra and she will be deeply missed.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Gordon; children, Brian (Deb) Horneck, Susan (Jeff) Bramstedt, and Steven (Carol) Horneck; grandchildren, Clayton (Alyssa) Horneck, Steve Buechel, Tracy (Ben) Katsma, Tom (Angie) Buechel, and Jim (Jill) Buechel; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Dennis Hill; brother-in-law, Henry (Marge) Horneck and a sister-in-law, Lois Wenzel; nieces, nephews, other family and friends further survive.
Along with her parents and in-laws, Sandra was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Fred Wenzel and a nephew, Mike Wenzel.
A Celebration of Life for Sandra will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Humphrey’s Turner Hall Bar & Grill, 202 Elizabeth St., in Plymouth.
A memorial fund has been established in Sandra’s name.
