Randall “Randy” Lee Grunewald, age 73, was welcomed into the arms of angels on Thursday, April 16, 2026. He was born on December 19, 1952 in Sheboygan to the late Nelson and Doris (Strassburger) Grunewald. He is a 1971 graduate of Howards Grove High School. Randy also served his country honorably in the United States Army.
Randy was a hard worker all of his life, always planning and organizing from the time he was young. He worked as the Regional Service Manager for General Motors until his retirement, traveling across the country for work. Those who knew Randy understood his passion for his work, and how much he treasured his friends and family. He could fix anything, always taking care of vehicles and equipment. He loved deep sea fishing, and enjoyed cooking wonderful meals for the people he cared about the most. Randy will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Randy is survived by his siblings: Fritz (Jacquelyn) Grunewald, Gretchen (William) Crowley, Patricia (David) Wehrmann, and Cindy (Jeff) Glomstead. He is further survived by special family friends Robert and Janet Furman, his loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Doris.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Vince Lombardi Cancer Care Clinic, especially Dr. Stan Gutiontov, and nurse Kaitlyn at Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center. Their exceptional care and comfort provided to Randy and his family will not be forgotten.
A funeral service will take place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 441 Millersville Ave., Howards Grove, on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Adam Bode officiating. Friends and relatives may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
Burial will take place at St. Paul Cemetery in Howards Grove immediately following services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Howards Grove.
