Rachel Arline Zeinemann, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 after a 2 ½ year battle with bone cancer. She was born on October 1, 1943 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to the late Reuben and Arline (Reitbrock) Rohde. She attended Pigeon River Elementary School and was a 1961 graduate of Sheboygan South High School. After attending UW-Whitewater, she worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Imig and part time for Prange Way for 22 years.
Rachel met David Zeinemann on a blind date in November of 1964. That blind date led to a proposal after David had to attend two weeks of Army Reserve Training. They purchased a home January 2, 1965, and were married on April 16, 1966. During their 59 years of marriage, they owned 8 different residences. Rachel and Dave spent close to 40 years of camping which included tents, popup trailers, and finally travel trailers. They gave up camping in 2007 and resorted to rent a cottage or a park home in Arizona. Rachel was an avid fan of all Wisconsin sports teams. She loved playing cribbage and other card games such as Mahjong with her lady friends. Above all, Rachel loved spending time with her family. Rachel will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her husband David, and their three children Kevin (Jackie) Erik (Sarah), and Darin (Dawn) Zeinemann. She is further survived by her grandchildren Randy (Carrie), Kyle, and Annalise Zeinemann, brother Ronald Rohde, sisters-in-law Karen Rohde and Nancy Rammer, and brother-in-law Jerry Zeinemann, as well as other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Rachel is preceded in death by her son, Jason Kyle Zeinemann, sister Roxanna (Robert) Mittelstadt, brother-in-law Fritz Rammer, and sister-in-law Nancy Zeinemann.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all the warmth and compassionate care they showed to Rachel and her family in their time of need.
