Paul G. Koehn Jr., age 89, of Howards Grove passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 24th, at his home.
He was born to the late Paul and Ida (Bock) Koehn Sr., in Sheboygan on May 2, 1936. Paul graduated from Central High School in 1954. Immediately following high school, Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1954 until 1957. In 1961, Paul married his best friend, Dorene Kleinke at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, where the two were longtime members. Paul was employed at and retired from R.P. Honold Co. for whom he supervised the installation of water treatment plants throughout Wisconsin. He was a hard worker, spending his life on his feet and rarely sitting down, even in his retirement.
Paul enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, and later in life painting masterpieces on sawblades, canvas and any item that someone wanted painted. He shared his art pieces and the world’s best smoked fish with many family members and close friends. Paul and Dorene were members of the Lakeshore Driftbusters Snowmobile Club from its inception; enjoying many years of local rides as well as rides to Yellowstone National Park, Utah, and South Dakota. Paul always said it didn’t pay to suit up if you were putting on less than 100 miles a day. He was a loving husband, a dedicated father, and a wonderful friend. He will be deeply missed.
Paul is survived by his wife of over 64 years, Dorene; their children, Brett (Jeanne) Koehn, Corey (Trista) Koehn and Kelly (Kurt Grezinski); grandchildren, Amanda Koehn, Emma Koehn and Ben Koehn; great-granddaughters, Ava and Olivia Fellows; a niece and nephew and his beloved Grandogs Jasper and Maggie. Along with his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother Harry Koehn and beloved Grandogs Max and Abbie.

Thank you for the most excellent care provided to Paul, he so looked forward to your visits. As a family, we appreciate how you immersed yourselves with us, teaching us how to care for our husband/father and the times we spent talking and laughing. Somehow the two of you knew just what we needed with each visit. Always remember to knock softly on the doors of life and they will open to wonderous things.
