Patricia Schickel

Patricia Schickel, 75, of Sheboygan, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at home. Patricia was born September 3, 1941, in LaCrosse, to the late Howard and Esther (Christensen) Poehling. In 1960, she married Jay Schickel. He preceded her in death on November 30, 2016.
Patti's passion was her family. She was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. All were welcome around her kitchen table, where many an hour were spent solving the world's problems. She was a remarkable conversationalist, debater, and arm chair politician. She had an uncommon ability to connect and build relationships with people. She selflessly cared for those around her and took great pleasure extending simple acts of kindness to them. We celebrate her life and are forever grateful for the positive influence she has had on us all.
She is survived by her three children, Kim (Dan) Walters, Cedarburg and their children, Megan, Michael and Matthew, Chris Schickel (Shanna), Madison and Mike (Nicole) Schickel, Wauwatosa and their children, Calvin, Christopher and Emma; one brother, Peder (Brande) Poehling; one sister, Karla (Robert) Linn; sister-in-law, Virginia Poehling.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jay, she was preceded in death by one sister, Jacquie Adams.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Zimmer's Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 & JJ, Howards Grove).
