Orville H. Valenstein93, of Sheboygan Falls, WI pass away on March 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at Sheboygan Senior Center where he resided the past nine months. He was born June 19, 1930 in the town of Meeme to Olga (Wipperman) and Erwin Valenstein.  Orville attended Taylor Grade School and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School with the Class of 1948.

On September 24, 1955, he was united in marriage to Gloria Gutschow at Louis Corners Lutheran Church.   Orville was a former member of St. John’s UCC Schwartzwald for 65 years and was a current member of Grace UCC in Kohler where he enjoyed being a member of the church choir.

Orville owned and worked the family farm prior to enjoying a career driving semitruck for LesKey Transit, Chair City Motor Express and Bemis Manufacturing.  After retirement, he enjoyed many weekends transporting fans around the Road America racetrack.  He was a former director of the Production Credit Association (PCA), a member of North Bowl Hall of Fame, Howards Grove Athletic Club, and a founding member of the Lakeshore Driftbusters Snowmobile Club.  He loved to tell stories of his days as a private aircraft pilot and his flying excursions with the Sky Diving Club.  Family and friends were important to Orville and he enjoyed spending time attending the grandchildren’s sporting events, golfing, playing cards, listening to polka music, traveling, collecting hats, and watching the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and Badgers.

Orville is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Gloria and his children: Glenn (Cathy) Valenstein, Scott (Debbie) Valenstein, Kathy (Jay) Jessup, Keith (Brenda) Valenstein; ten grandchildren: Laura (Mike) Copas, Paul Valenstein, Justin (Michele) Valenstein, Eric (Mallory) Valenstein, Melissa (Andy) Donalds, Marcus (Megan) Ninnemann, Brent (Jana) Kiesau, Douglas Kiesau, Johanna Jessup, Erin (Ashton) Holzmann, Mason Valenstein and 12 great grandchildren.

Orville was preceded in death by his parents, Olga and Erwin Valenstein, in-laws Eldora & Norman Gutschow, his brother Leroy and his wife Jeanette Valenstein, and brother-in-law Robert and his wife June Gutschow.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sheboygan Senior Center for their love and care of Orville.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024 at 2 pm at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road, with Rev. Beth Petzke officiating. Private entombment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday, April 1, 2024 from 11:30 am until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Orville’s name.
