Marion Schulz

June 10, 1927 — January 17, 2018

Marion M. Schulz, 90, of Elkhart Lake, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Marion was born on June 10, 1927 in Plymouth to Alfred and Eva (Lange) Baumann. Following grade school Marion went to do domestic work. She then worked at a cheese factory in Plymouth before returning home to help her Dad on the family farm. After farming, she returned to the cheese factory in Plymouth for several years. On October 6, 1945 she was united in marriage to the love of her life Edmund Schulz at St. John's Lutheran Church in Plymouth. They met at a dance and it was love of first sight. Marion and Edmund shared 72 wonderful years together.
Marion was a member of St. John's UCC Schwarzwald, she was very active in the church singing in the choir and active with the Ladies Guild. She was an honorary Lion, and member of the Farm Bureau. Marion was truly a farmer's wife, she loved being on the farm. Marion had amazing vegetable and flower gardens, she was an excellent cook and baker. She always had something in the house to satisfy your sweet tooth. If she wasn't helping Edmund on the farm, tending her gardens, or in the kitchen cooking, baking or canning, you might find her sewing, sitting at the kitchen table working on a puzzel, word puzzle or relaxing watching a game show. Marion and Edmund loved spending time with their friends, dancing, and playing a good game of cards or domino. After they retired, they enjoyed traveling both the United States and in Europe. Family was most important to Marion, and her true passion was creating memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marion is survived by her husband Edmund of Elkhart Lake, son James (Sharon) Schulz of Plymouth, grandchildren; Sarah (Jason) Peeks of Madison, Deborah (Matthew) Miekle of LaCrosse, and Timothy (Nadine) Schulz of Killeen, TX, by great-grandchildren Isabella, Ethan, Gavin , and Ralph Peeks, Samuel, Miriam, Martha, and Caleb Meikle, and James and Christopher Schulz, by brothers; Robert (Barb) Baumann of Sheboygan and Earl Baumann of Sheboygan Falls, sisters-in-law, Martha Meise of Town Of Meme and Dorothy Baumann of Plymouth, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Milton (Verona) Baumann, Victor (Lauretta) Baumann, Alfred (Audrey) Baumann Jr., by her sisters Elenore (Reinhold) Herzog and Ruth (Walter) Strohsane, sister-in-law Marion Baumann, and nine brothers and sisters -in-law.
