Margaret Thornton

Margaret B. Thornton, age 99, of Sheboygan passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020, at Sheboygan Senior Community.

She was born on July 16, 1920, in Rockford, IL to the late Armour and Mildred (O'Neill) Titus. Margaret graduated from Rockford High in 1939. On August 21, 1942, Margaret married John Thornton Sr.. Margaret also volunteered her time to many hospitals in various states. For over 20 years, Margaret also volunteered with the Meals on Wheels of Sheboygan County. She enjoyed boating, cross stitching, and listening to music. Above all, Margaret loved being a mother and being a homemaker.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Molly (Ted) Kehr of Henniker, NH, Stevie (Bert) Zeestraten of Sheboygan, Patti Bergin and Christine Martin both of Sheboygan Falls; a son John Thornton II of Sheboygan; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her husband John and a brother Armour Titus

Following Margaret's wishes cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family would like to personally thank the staff at Sheboygan Senior Community for the care given to Margaret.
