Larry F. Boedecker

December 18, 1954 — April 12, 2026

Howards Grove

Larry F. Boedecker, 71, of Howards Grove, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, surrounded by his loving family.

Larry was born on December 18, 1954, in Sheboygan to the late Fredrick “Fritz” and Marcella “Sally” (Neumann) Boedecker. He graduated from Howards Grove High School, Class of 1973.

On June 11, 1977, Larry was united in marriage to Patti Strub at Saron UCC. Together, they built a life centered on family and raised two sons. Larry will be remembered above all as a devoted family man whose life revolved around the people he loved most. He had a heart of gold and a genuine way of making others feel seen, valued, and cared for. Whether as a husband, father, grandfather, or friend, Larry showed up fully and selflessly.

Larry began his career at Neumann Plumbing & Heating, working alongside his father. He later took over operation of the business, continuing a proud family legacy as a fourth-generation owner. To Larry, colleagues were never just employees—they were people he deeply cared about, supported, and celebrated. His kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Larry found his greatest joy in time spent “up north” in Eagle River, enjoying the cottage he lovingly called Plumber’s Paradise. It was his happy place setting for countless memories filled with laughter, stories, and togetherness.

He had a passion for the simple pleasures in life: driving his old Ford, snowmobiling through the winter, and most importantly, spending time with his two sons, Matt and Justin. Weekends were rarely quiet—Larry and his family were always surrounded by friends, hosting gatherings, playing cards, and enjoying life to the fullest. He had a natural gift for bringing people together and making every moment feel special.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Patti Boedecker; his sons, Matthew (Ashley) Boedecker and Justin (Amanda) Boedecker: his granddaughter Macie Boedecker, and another granddaughter expected in June: his sister, Lynne (Jim) Albertin; his sisters-in-law, Lois (Ron) Roehl and Donna (Jim) Rabe; brother-in-law Stan (Teri) Strub; as well as many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his in-laws, Roland and Clorinda Strub; and brothers-in-law, David Arnhoelter and Marvin Schreiber.

A visitation for Larry will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Saron UCC, W3830 County Road J, Sheboygan Falls, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., and again on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the church. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Dan Krueger officiating. Larry will be buried at Saron UCC Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Larry’s honor may be made to the Howards Grove Lions Club, Saron UCC, or the Deerskin Lake Association.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the 7th Floor Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at St. Luke’s Medical Center for their exception care and compassion.

Larry will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends will live on in the many lives he touched.
