Kenneth D. Stewart, 71, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born on March 20, 1955 to the late Larry and Dorothy (Sanders) Stewart in Louisiana. He graduated from South High School with the Class of 1973. Ken was united in marriage to Janet Hameister on July 5, 1975 in Sheboygan. He loved his wife with a steadfast devotion from the age of 17. He worked at K.W. Muth/Lear for 36 years, followed by HTT where he retired from in 2017.
Ken had a thirst for adventure that, when not quenched through countless trips with his wife, he would satisfy through books, movies, and roller-coasters. Though an adventure seeker, nothing quite beat a relaxing fishing weekend with his brothers, friends, and family, except perhaps wrangling in a big one. No matter where his adventures took him, the sound of laughter filled every room he’s been in.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, Janet Stewart; son, Craig (Emily) Stewart; grandchildren, Rebecca (Alyssia) Stewart, Tyler Stewart, Henry Stewart, and Louis Stewart; brother, Kevin (Jane) Stewart; two sisters, Karen (William) Royce and Kathleen Robinson; brother-in-law Randy Harris; in-laws, Dennis Hameister, Christine (Kenneth) Wachal, David (Diane) Hameister, Michael (Mary) Hameister, Thomas (Dawn) Hameister, Lynn (David) Gross, Kathryn (Phillip) Lloyd, John Hameister, and Anne Hameister; and countless nieces, nephews, and friends.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter and Bernadine Hameister; brother Keith Stewart; sister Kristine Harris; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Ronald and Mary Jane Mohr; nephews, Dallas Harris and Benjamin Salm; niece, Emily Salm.
Visitation for Ken will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd., Sheboygan, WI 53083. A time of reflection and sharing of memories will begin at 11:45 a.m. Private burial at Calvary Cemetery will follow.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Ken’s name.
