June Sternitzky

June 19, 1932 — June 21, 2016

June G. (Stern) Sternitzky passed peacefully at home on June 21, 2016, with her husband of 61 years at her side. June was born June 19, 1932 in the town of Scott, Sheboygan County, WI, to Louis and Irene (Strack) Stern. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church, Dundee, WI, and was graduated from Plymouth High School in 1950. She worked as a secretary at the Plymouth and Sheboygan offices of Plymouth Industrial Products for ten years. She was a stay-at-home-mom for 12 years and was then employed in the office of the Millersville Box Company for 21 years.
June was a faithful member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Kohler, WI. She was an active member of the Bethany Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) and the Altar Guild and served as secretary of both groups. She was also a member of the Bethany Quilting group, which provides quilts to needy countries.
June married Gilbert C. Sternitzky, Jr., on June 11, 1955.
June's survivors include her loving husband Gilbert; their daughter Mary (Josh Biser) Sternitzky; brother-in-law Norbert Sternitzky; nephew David (Arnita) Plekenpol; her great nephews Jon (Kelly Schwanke) Plekenpol, Chris (Adrienne) Plekenpol, Matt (Jessica) Fillebrown, Jason (Tina) Fillebrown and Heath (Rachel) Fillebrown; and her great-great nephews and nieces Austin and Jett Plekenpol, Kaleb, Sophia, Anastasia, Noah, Quinn, Hannah, Sadie, Lillye, Max and Landon Fillebrown.
June was preceded in death by her father Louis, her mother Irene, her brothers Dean, Jerome, and Gerald, her sister Bernice Sternitzky, her mother and father in-law Frieda and Gilbert Sternitzky, and her nephew Don Plekenpol and his wife Virginia Plekenpol.
June was loved dearly and will be greatly missed!

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 11 AM at Bethany Lutheran Church, (222 Church St, Kohler, WI) with Rev. Robert Steele officiating. Please visit www.zimmerfuneralhome.com to sign the guestbook.
