Jerry D. Sabrowsky, 85, of Sheboygan, was called to the Lord on Thursday, June 4, 2026, surrounded by his family.
He was born on March 23, 1941, in Sheboygan to the late Edward and Lorena (Van Sluys) Sabrowsky. Jerry graduated from Central High School with the Class of 1959. He proudly served in the Wisconsin National Guard, completing his training at Camp McCoy. On September 14, 1963, he was united in marriage to Audrey Yurk at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.
Jerry worked as a pipe fitter for many years, retiring from J.F. Ahern Co. in 2003. He was a dedicated member of UA Local Union 669 Road Sprinkler Fitters for more than 60 years. A faithful and active member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Kohler, Jerry's strong Christian faith was a guiding force throughout his life.
Jerry was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed spending time outdoors. He had a passion for gardening, cultivating fruit trees and grapes, and took great pride in making his own wine. He was a longtime member of Ducks Unlimited and enjoyed trapshooting from a young age. Jerry and Audrey were among the early supporters of Sheboygan Lutheran High School, where they proudly enrolled all three of their daughters.
Jerry is survived by his daughters, Kelly (Brian) Karth of Sheboygan, Kendall (Bret) Melton of Atlanta, Georgia, and Jennifer Sabrowsky of Cleveland; his granddaughter, Cassandra Sabrowsky; great-granddaughter, Isabelle Herbst; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Gloria Schultz, Doris (Ernie) Kopke, and Ralph Sabrowsky; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Audrey Sabrowsky; his parents; his stepfather, Ted; two brothers, Roger Sabrowsky and Kenny (Bernice) Sabrowsky; brother-in-law, Leon Schultz; sister-in-law Robin Sabrowsky.
A Funeral Service for Jerry will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, 222 Church St., Kohler, with Rev. Azor Cigelske officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial and military honors at Sunrise Memorial Gardens will immediately follow the service. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed on Jerry's obituary page on the funeral home's website.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jerry’s name may be directed to Sheboygan Lutheran High School or to a dementia or Alzheimer's charity of your choice.
The family wishes to extend its sincere appreciation to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, especially RN Gretchen and CNA Yenny, for the compassionate care and comfort they provided.
