Jerald A.
Holub
Jun 11, 1941 — Oct 28, 2026
Sheboygan
Jerald “Jerry” Holub, age 85, of Sheboygan died Wednesday, October 28, at Sharon Richardson Community Hospice surrounded by family.
He was born June 11, 1941 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and grew up in Wauwatosa, He earned a bachelor’s degree from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and a master’s from Winona State University. Jerry devoted his life to his family, education, coaching, and public service. He worked for 35 years as a high school teacher and 16 years as a varsity football coach between Sheboygan North High School and Brodhead High School. His colleagues and former players respected his focus on fundamentals, high standards, and genuine interest. He always enjoyed catching up with former students and players. In his final weeks, he had special interactions with former students and a former player that brought him joy. Beyond the school, he served his community for many years as a member of the Sheboygan County Board and as Town Supervisor and Chairman of the Town of Mosel. He approached public service with the same practical and thoughtful style he brought to coaching that focused on results, fairness, and the long-term good of the people he represented.
He was married for 57 years to his wife, Linda, his partner in every sense. Together they raised two sons and later delighted in four grandchildren. Family remained the center of his life and he was happiest when the house was full or when he could attend the grandchildren’s activities.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his sons and daughters-in-law, Brad (Julie) and Mark (Wendy); four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Alyson, Brady, and Hailey; his sister, Patricia (Ron) Johnson, and his brother, Bruce Holub; in-laws, Janet & Jim Rosenberg, Kathleen & David Miller, and Susan & Tim Heberer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Annice Holub; his sister and brother-in-law, Loanne and Bill Eversoll; and his brother, Michael Holub.
A private family memorial service will be held. His family will always remember him as a teacher who never stopped teaching, a coach who never stopped caring, and a husband and father whose greatest pride was the home and family he built.
In lieu of flowers, Jerry’s family asks that you make a donation in his name to a charity of your choice.
The family would like to thank the Sharon Richardson Community Hospice for the compassionate care Jerry received at their facility.
Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center is caring for Jerry and his family.
