Jeanette Zolltheis

Jeanette Emily Zolltheis, 95, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at The Shores of Sheboygan Senior Living, Sheboygan. The former Jeanette Kautzer was born on October 22, 1922 the daughter of the late Theodore and Clara Schuler Kautzer in the Town of Eaton, Manitowoc County. She attended St. Gregory's Catholic Grade School in St. Nazianz and was a 1940 graduate of Valders High School. In 1941, Jeanette graduated from the Wisconsin Academy of Beauty Culture in Milwaukee. She worked as a beautician prior to her marriage.
On June 10, 1944, Jeanette married Harold F. Zolltheis at St. Gregory's Parsonage, St. Nazianz. In 1952, Harold and Jeanette purchased a dairy farm in the Town of Meeme, Manitowoc County from his parents and worked it until their retirement in 1979. They continued to live on the homestead until 1996, when they moved to Howards Grove. In 2007, they moved to Mapledale Senior Community in Sheboygan. Harold preceded Jeanette in death on October 21, 2011. In January 2015, Jeanette moved to the Shores of Sheboygan.
Jeanette was a 4H leader in the 1950s and 1960s. In their early retirement, Harold and Jeanette traveled often, including several trips to Europe. Jeanette enjoyed bowling and playing bingo. She was an avid Sheepshead player. In her retirement, Jeanette knitted many gifts for family members and friends. Jeanette was an enthusiastic Milwaukee Brewers fan.
Jeanette was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. When they lived in Meeme, she was an active member of St. Fidelis and later St. Isidore.
Jeanette is survived by her daughter Karen (James) Woelfel of Sheboygan; her sons, Michael (Kristin) Zolltheis of Newton, Patrick (Tracy) Zolltheis of Laveen, AZ and Samuel Zolltheis of Placerville, CA; five grandchildren, James (Michelle) Woelfel of Richfield, Karen (Jeffrey) Schuchardt of Sheboygan, Micaela (Michael) Douglas of St. Paul, MN, Kenneth (Amanda) Zolltheis of Shorewood and Scott Zolltheis of Manitowoc; seven great-grandchildren, Tyson and Kathryn Schuchardt, Victoria and Nicholas Woelfel, Corrine and Elise Douglas and Kennedy Zolltheis; a brother Melvin Kautzer of Florida; a sister-in-law Ione Rammer of Sheboygan and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her daughter, Sara Lee Kienbaum; her sisters Verna Godard and Romelda Lukes; her brother Stanley Kautzer; her sisters-in-law Frances Kautzer, Marion Zolltheis, Bernice Beuchel, Florence Hinz and Corella Kautzer and her brothers-in-law Robert Godard, Clarence Lukes, Willard Zolltheis, Clarence Beuchel, Elmer Hinz and Clement Rammer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 818 Huron Ave., with Fr. Matthew Widder officiating. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 11:00 AM until the time of mass at the CHURCH.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Meals of Wheels or Anchor of Hope Health Center in Jeanette's name.
