James Hinz

Mr. James Hinz, of Oostburg, passed away Wednesday morning, September 28, 2016 at Willowdale Nursing Home in New Holstein. He was 77 years old. Jim was born August 26, 1939 in Sheboygan, the son of Martin and Eleanor (Nee Hoeft) Hinz. On February 11, 1961, he was united in marriage with Ruth Hoftiezer in Gibbsville. For over 41 years, he worked at Kohler Company. Jim was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, and loved golfing and dining out at Homefront and Schwartz's of St. Anna. Jim is survived by his wife Ruth and their children: Paul Hinz of Oostburg, Joel (Carrie) Hinz of Jackson, Jan Hinz of Oostburg, Mark (Ginny) Hinz of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by 6 grandchildren: Matthew, Damon and Mackenzie Hinz and Aaron, Jackson and Lily Hinz, 5 step-grandchildren: Ashley, Jacob, Zachary, Kristy and Lisa, 8 great-grandchildren, one sister Elaine Maywalt of Spring Hill, FL, sister-in-law Joyce Hinz, brother-in-law Richard Poppe, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his son James A. Hinz, his parents Martin and Eleanor, his parents-in-law William and Marie Hofteizer, his brother William Hinz and his sister Jeanne Poppe.
