James Armo

August 10, 1930 — October 25, 2016

James R. Des Armo, 86, of Sheboygan, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center in Plymouth. He was born August 10, 1930 in Munising, MI to Frederick and Helen (Ellia) Des Armo. James served in the US Coast Guard from 1949 to 1950. On February 18, 1950 he was untied in marriage to Rosalie Kolinski in Munising, MI. Rosalie preceded him in death on May 4, 2012.
James worked for 23 years at the Munising Paper Mill, and retired from Kohler Company.
He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, enjoyed taking trips to the casino and traveling to FL where he and Rosalie lived for 3 years.
James is survived by his children; Robert (Justina) Des Armo of Kohler, Diane (Harold) Diestler of Colorado Springs, CO, Marilyn (Bernerd) Diestler of Shawano, William (Penny) Des Armo of Sheboygan, Richard (Cindy) Des Armo of Cape Coral, FL, and Jacqueline (David) Geltemeyer of Sheboygan Falls, by his fifteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers, Jack (Shirley) Des Armo and Donald (Marilyn) Des Armo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2133 N. 22nd St. Sheboygan, with Rev. Philip Reifenberg officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Kohler. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from10:00 AM until the time of service at the CHURCH.
Memorials may be made to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, W2850 State Rd. 28, Sheboygan Falls 53085 in James' name.
The family would like to say a special Thank you to the staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and Rocky Knoll for all the care and support they provided.
