Herbert “Herb” H. Suchalla Jr

Herbert “Herb” H. Suchalla Jr., age 76, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice surrounded by his family. He was born in Texas on June 29, 1949, the son of the late Herbert Suchalla Sr. and Evelyn (Maze) Suchalla.

On August 3, 1974, Herb was united in marriage to Dianne Dekanich at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.

Herb served proudly in the U.S. Air Force. He worked at the Kohler Company for 29 years before his retirement and was a member of the Kohler Quarter Century Club. Herb enjoyed being outdoors and vacationing up north or along the Gulf Coast.

Herb is survived by his son, Michael Suchalla; two brothers, Ronald (Lori) Suchalla and Timothy Suchalla; brother-in-law, Luke Dekanich; sisters-in-law Eileen Dekanich and Nicole Dekanich; nieces, Missy (Kirby) Griese, Sara Suchalla, Jennifer (Greg) Rothe, Melyssa (Jesse) Hammons; nephew, Benjamin (Liz) Dekanich, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dianne Suchalla; his parents, Herbert and Evelyn Suchalla; his in-laws Lucas and Delores Dekanich; sisters-in-law, Betsy Carolfi and Janice Dekanich; brothers-in-law, Robert Dekanich and Fred Dekanich.

A funeral service for Herb will take place on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd., Sheboygan, WI. The service will also be available via livestream on the funeral home’s website. Immediately following the service, entombment will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Sheboygan, with military honors. The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
