Herbert Boeldt

Mr. Herbert "Herbie" Boeldt, of Sheboygan, passed away Thursday evening, November 24, 2016 at St. Nicholas Hospital. He was 77 years old.
Herbie was born April 10, 1939, the son of Herbert and Elenora (nee Grunewald) Boeldt. After high school, Herbie served in the United States Army for 6 months, and in the Reserves for many years afterwards. On June 20, 1959, he was united in marriage with Betty Price at the First Methodist Church in Sheboygan.
For 43 years, Herbie worked at Vollrath and was a proud member of the Quarter Century Club. He worked in various positions, retiring as a tow truck driver in 2002.
Herbie was an avid Packer, Badger and Brewers fan. He enjoyed playing sheepshead with friends, spending time with his McDonald's coffee group, running football pools, and hosting annual Brat Days celebrations.
Herbie is survived by his wife Betty, his sister Shirley Rudebeck of Sheboygan Falls, sisters-in-law Dorothy Boeldt of Sheboygan Falls, Lavern Boeldt of Sheboygan and LaVerta Boeldt of Howards Grove, brother-in-law Vernon (Noreen) Price of AL, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his brothers: Russell, Howard, Gordon and Henry and his sisters: Lucille, Eldora and Helen.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 28th at 4PM at Fountain Park United Methodist Church, 828 Erie Ave. in Sheboygan. The family will receive visitors at the church on Monday from 2-4PM.
Herbie will be laid to rest at Wildwood Cemetery in Sheboygan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Fountain Park United Methodist Church.
