Geraldine “Geri” (Menart) Brousseau, 80, passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s - Felician Village, Manitowoc, WI, on August 18, 2026. She was born on June 20, 1946 to the late George and Stella (Smerke) Menart in Sheboygan.
She attended various public schools in Sheboygan. Geri retired from Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center after 34 years of service in the admissions department as a Patient Registrar. In those 34 years, she formed many strong lasting relationships and friendships with her colleagues.
After retirement, Geri enjoyed gardening and antiquing. In her free time, she enjoyed browsing the internet for new creative ideas. In her earlier years, she authored the children’s Golden Shape Book “Books Are Fun” (The Book Book).
Geri is survived by her daughter Wendy Schobert; brother George (Donna) Menart; sister Barbara (Bruce) Hengst. She is further survived by her nephews Andrew (Tracy) Hengst, David Hengst, Tom (Lisa) Hengst, Christopher (Kristin) Menart, Ryan Menart, and their families.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Stella Menart, many aunts, uncles, and beloved cousins, and her fur babies Tucker, Cooper, and Moose.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd., Howards Grove., with Deacon Michael Burch officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Fresh Meals on Wheels of Sheboygan County, Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Sheboygan Humane Society, Wisconsin Humane Society Ozaukee Campus, or Tail Waggers 911 in Grafton, WI.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of St. Mary’s at Felician Village, especially Mary, RN, and the CNAs, as well as Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, for their compassionate care and support. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Charles Korankye, Dr. Erin Stevens, Dr. Barbi Kaplan, Dr. Aron and Dr. Allison Block, and the Sheboygan Fire Dept.
