Gerald “Jerry” Kaufmann, 79, of Randolph, formerly of Cleveland, passed away on December 10, 2025 at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital. Jerry was born on June 15, 1946 to the late Milton and Edna (Konopacki) Kaufmann in Manitowoc. He was a graduate of Kiel High School, Class of 1964.
On May 10, 1974, Jerry was united in marriage to Jeannine Schepper, together they raised their children.
Jerry was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He worked at R.P. Jost Co. Inc. and Modern Dairy before his retirement. In addition to his career, Jerry gave back to his community as a volunteer firefighter in Cleveland, retiring after 25 years of dedicated service. He was also an Assistant Boy Scout Master for many years. Jerry was an enthusiastic and devoted sports fan, with a deep love for all things Wisconsin. Whether cheering for the Badgers, Brewers, Bucks, or Packers, Jerry’s passion for Wisconsin sports was contagious, and he rarely missed a game.
Outside of sports, Jerry had a love for gardening. However, his true pride and joy was his family, and he particularly cherished the time spent with his granddaughter.
Jerry is survived by his wife Jeannine Kaufmann; children, Anthony Kaufmann and Anne (Joshua) Pollesch; one granddaughter, Autumn; four brothers; five sisters; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Edna Kaufmann; daughter Rebecca Kaufmann and four brothers.
A Funeral Mass for Jerry will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 8100 Brunner Rd, Newton, WI 53063. Father Dave Beaudry, will officiate. Inurnment will take place at St. Wendel Catholic Cemetery, Cleveland, in the spring. Visitation will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m.
