Florence Lorenz

Florence H. Lorenz, 95, formerly from Howards Grove, WI passed into eternal life to meet her Lord on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Sheboygan Falls, where she has been for the last four weeks. She was born December 29, 1920 in Cleveland, WI, to William and Mable (Zastrow) Jaeger. She attended Center Grade School in Cleveland, WI.

She married Clemens E. Lorenz on December 9, 1939, in Cleveland, the couple farmed in the Town of Mosel until 1988 when they moved to Howards Grove, he preceded her in death January of 1993.

Florence was a homemaker and mother of eight children; she enjoyed dancing, playing cards, sewing, crocheting, and traveling.

Florence was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Haven where she served on Ladies Aide. She belonged to Mosel Night Owls Homemakers.

Florence is survived by her children; Charlene (Kenneth) Gumm, Town of Sheboygan, Shirley (Roger) Bender, Cleveland, Ronald (LoAnn) Lorenz Sheboygan Falls, Janice (Richard) Casper, Fond du Lac, Barbara (Steve) Berger, Park City, MT, Judith (Dennis) Wallner, Sheboygan Falls, David (Debbie) Lorenz, Plymouth, Richard (Tina) Lorenz, Elkhart Lake. Her sisters Audrey Janing, Manitowoc, Jeanette (Art) Kober, Sheboygan, her brother Ellsworth Jaeger, Sheboygan, Sister in law Lucille Jaeger, Manitowoc. Also, survived by 25 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren, other nieces and nephews. Also survived by many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clemens, her sisters and brothers-in-law, Viola (Herbert) Hoppe, Ruth (Elmer) Bartz, her brothers and sister-in-law, Roland (Edna) Jaeger, Harold, Delton, George Jaeger. Brothers-in-law Hugo Janing, and Arthur Bord, sister-in-law, Darlene Jaeger. Son-in-law Erwin Bender, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at Zimmer Westview Funeral Cremation Care Center W2132 Garton Road (Hwy 42 JJ Howards Grove) on Wednesday, April 6, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Kenneth Serr, Pastor of Grace Lutheran, Haven presiding. Friends and family may gather from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Entombment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Florences name for Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice or Grace Lutheran Church in Haven.

The family would like to thank the care givers from Sharon S. Richardson Community for all the care and compassion they have shown to Florence.
