Eunice Drake

February 14, 1936 — July 18, 2016

Eunice M. Drake age 80, found peace on Monday, July 18, 2016. She was born at home in Kiel on February 14, 1936 to parents Norbert and Rose (Bertram) Wick. Eunice attended Kiel High School. She was united in marriage on May 1, 1954 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel to Kenneth Drake. Eunice worked with Ken on the family farm for many years. Together they also owned and operated Drakes Bar for several years. Eunice also spent many years working in the food service industry.
Eunice was a member of the Marsh Maids. She enjoyed crafting, tending to her garden and collecting Holiday Village pieces.
Eunice is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Ken; six children, Sharon (Donald) Knauer, Susan (Daniel) Kolberg, Sheila Drake, Shirley (Robert) Russell, Sharlene Lopez and Steve (Chris) Drake; eleven grandchildren, Ross (Jackie) Knauer, Grant (Kayla) Knauer, LeeAnn (Nick) Wayerski, Christine (significant other Mitchell Minard) Kolberg, Bobby (Mary Caroline) Russell, Johnny (Cami) Russell, Daniel Russell, Nicole (fiancee Kyle Bares) Lopez, Audrey Lopez, Lauren Lopez and Logan Drake; six great-grandbabies and one on the way; one sister, Shirley Gatzke; also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Eunice is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, LuAnn; two brothers, Norbert and John Jack Wick.
Private family services will be held. Committal at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church Cemetery - Elkhart Lake. The family would like to thank the Elkhart Lake first responders, the Kiel Ambulance and the staff at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Hospital for their care and support.
