Cheryl L. Prepster

Cheryl Prepster of Sheboygan passed away on Tuesday, April 27th at Dimensions Living. Cheryl was born on July 4th, 1945, daughter of Merrill and Cordella (Schumann) Miller. She was a graduate of Kohler High School. On November 30th, 1968, Cheryl married Dennis Prepster at Holy Name Church in Sheboygan.

Cheryl was a graduate of Kohler High School. She briefly attended UW Milwaukee with a focus on occupational therapy. She worked as a crossing guard for the village of Kohler and was a secretary at Kohler Schools. She spent most of her career, though, at the Kohler Company working as an office professional primarily in the public affairs and archives departments. She retired as a member of the Quarter Century Club.

Cheryl was a life-long member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Kohler. She enjoyed bowling, making greeting cards, crafting, garage sales and ice cream. She was famous for her pistachio torte and chocolate chip cookies. She loved packing a picnic lunch and going for drives in Door County or the Kettle Moraine State Forest. She played the saxophone and loved listening to marching band music.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis, and her brother Merrill “Butch” Miller. She is survived by her two daughters. Melissa Prepster of Kyle, Texas, and Angie (David) Malanick of Sheboygan and her sister, Mary Lee (Nancy Rice) of Rochester, New York. Cheryl is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, granddogs and many, many friends. Cheryl loved spending time with her KHS classmates.

Funeral services to celebrate Cheryl’s life will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kohler on May 4, 2026, 222 Church St. in Kohler at 10:30 AM. Family will greet visitors from 9:00-10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Kohler. Cheryl’s service will be livestreamed and available to watch on her obituary page on the funeral home website.

Cheryl’s daughters would like to thank the staff at Dimensions Living for their exceptional care and all of Cheryl’s friends who checked in with her over the last year. A memorial fund has been established in Cheryl’s name.

Cheryl will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit will live on in the memories she created with family and friends.
