Betty J. Mrdjenovich

Betty Mrdjenovich, of Sheboygan, WI passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 17th, 2023. She was a former resident of Janesville, WI. Betty was born to Michael and Florence (Pierrelee) Radakovich in Ashland, Wisconsin on July 8, 1938. She graduated from Shawano High School and later moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she worked as a secretary. She married Donald Mrdjenovich in Hurley, Wisconsin on March 3, 1957, a marriage which lasted 66 years. They had one child, Michael. He and his wife Sue live in Sheboygan.

During her lifetime, Betty worked in several capacities, such as radio, advertising, and travel. She owned and retired from Jefferson Travel in Jefferson, Wisconsin after managing her business for twenty-five years. During those years, she led numerous travel groups to locations around the globe. She and Donald enjoyed numerous private travel experiences as well. She was also active in the Presbyterian Church, Zonta International, and the League of Women Voters.

Betty will be remembered for her caring and friendly personality by many friends in both her private and professional lives. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed all aspects of life with her family which included travel, recreation, adventures, and celebrations. Betty hosted many beautiful dinners for her family together with Donald. She was an avid reader and had a sharp memory for detail, easily recalling names and stories from her life. She was a wonderful conversationalist and the consummate hostess.

In addition to her husband Donald, son and daughter-in-law, Betty is survived by her grandchildren Megan, great-grandson Ezra Russman, grandson Eric (Olivia) Mrdjenovich, and great-granddaughter Mila Mrdjenovich, all of Kohler.

There will not be a local service. Betty’s wish was to be cremated and internment will be at a later date in the family cemetery plot in Upson, WI. A memorial service will be held at that time.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center for the excellent care given to Betty.
