Arthur Soucheck

October 16, 1925 — September 25, 2016

Arthur J. Soucheck Sr., 90, of Sheboygan, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Terrace Place.
He was born October 16, 1925 in Sheboygan to Albert and Elizabeth (Bleek) Soucheck. He attended St. Dominic grade school and was a 1943 graduate of Sheboygan North High School.
Artie served in the United States Navy from November 30, 1943 until he was honorably discharged on May 21, 1946.
On November 23, 1946 he was united in marriage to Dolores (Dolly) Wallace in Sheboygan. They were married for 51 years before Dolly preceded him in death on April 13, 1998.
On January 19, 2003 Artie married Dolores Messner. She preceded him in death on January 23, 2005.
Artie retired from the Sheboygan Area School District, after working 27 years as the head custodian at Urban Middle School. Following retirement, he volunteered many hours of service at St. Nicholas Hospital. Throughout his life Artie enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and traveling. Listening and dancing to polka music and ballroom dancing were some of his favorite past times.
Arthur is survived by his son Allan (Holly Hinz) Soucheck; his grandchildren Annie (Jesse Cabuyadou) Soucheck, Scott (Sherri) Soucheck, Angie (Greg) MacFarlan, Erika (Bob Longhurst) Soucheck, Shawn (Melissa) Soucheck; ten great-grandchildren and Anne (Marvin)Vogel. He is also survived by his special friend and "sweetheart" Rosie Nennig and other family and friends. Preceding Arthur in death are his brother Lester Soucheck, daughter Susan Slattery, his son and daughter-in-law Arthur Jr. and Nancy Soucheck and other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Arthur's name to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
Artie's family would like to sincerely thank the entire staff at Terrace Place for their years of support and care. Additionally, the family extends their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Sharon S. Richardson's Home Hospice team.
