Arlyle Bunge

Arlyle A. Bunge of Sheboygan, age 98, passed away on July 21, 2021.

Arlyle was born on August 25, 1922, in Town of Rhine, WI to the late Carl and Laura (Diels) Kissinger.  She married Harold Arnhoelter in 1940 and farmed the homestead in the town of Herman.  Harold preceded her in death in 1981.  She married Edgar Bunge in 1984 and he preceded her in death in 1999.  Arlyle then spent many of her remaining years with Gerhardt Bender until he passed in 2017.  She was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. Peter Evangelical Church in the Town of Rhine.  Once they moved to the family farm, Arlyle became a member of Immanuel UCC in the town of Herman in 1940 where she was president of the women's guild for 2 terms and later involved in the Women's Fellowship.

Arlyle enjoyed traveling, making ceramics, crocheting afghans for family members, and playing sheepshead with many different card clubs.  She also loved to polka dance with We Dance Club.  Many memories were made with family and friends at Lake Noquebay at the family cottage and the yearly tradition of Christmas cookies and Easter eggs.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Rodney (Rena) Arnhoelter of Florence County and Vicki (Lee) Wallander of Sheboygan; daughter-in-law Julie Arnhoelter-Wolf of Elkhart Lake; step-daughters Mary (Dennis) Beauvais and Donna Dehne; step-son Bruce Bunge; grandchildren, Greg and Aaron Arnhoelter, Michelle Gobert, Angie (Brian) Staudinger, Jamie Arnhoelter, Jess McWilliams, Barb Arnhoelter, Adam (Niki) Arnhoelter, Ashley Arnhoelter, Nicole (Damian) Nevers, Kelly Wallander (Justin); step-grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren; nieces and other family further survive.

Along with Harold, Edgar, and Gerhardt, Arlyle was preceded in death by her sons, Charles and Dennis Arnhoelter; step-son Brian Bunge and siblings, Elmer Kissinger and Ruby Rabe.

A Funeral Service for Arlyle will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Immanuel UCC, W3694 Co Rd FF in Plymouth with Rev. Laura Yurs officiating.  The family will greet visitors on Saturday at church from 11:30 AM until the time of service.  Arlyle will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Arlye's name.
