Obituary

Our shining star lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, with loved ones by her side at the age of 52. Though her life was far too short, Anne lived it to the fullest, meeting every challenge with optimism, grace, and unwavering faith. Her faith was deeply important to her and sustained her throughout her health struggles, providing strength and comfort during her journey.

Anne was born on November 5, 1973, to the late Ted and Alice (Arsenault) Sentowski in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She attended St. Joseph Academy before graduating from Notre Dame High School in 1991. Anne continued her education at Marquette University, ultimately earning Master’s Degrees in both Chemistry and Business.

Following graduation, Anne began her career with Kohler Company, where she worked for 29 years. During her tenure, she held a variety of positions in the chemistry lab, marketing, and sales. She ended her career as the Director of Key Accounts for the Retail Sales team. She was a respected leader, mentor, and coach who positively impacted many colleagues throughout her career.

At Kohler, Anne met her Life Partner, Mitch Thuecks. Together, they shared nearly three decades filled with adventure, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Anne embraced life with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a sense of adventure. Boston was her favorite destination, and she looked forward each year to visiting the city and attending Red Sox games. She and Mitch also enjoyed attending concerts, especially those of Pearl Jam and U2, as well as sporting events including Packers games and Marquette basketball. Together they spent countless happy hours at their cottage on Lake George near Rhinelander, relaxing on the water and enjoying the beauty of the Northwoods.

Anne was an outstanding and creative baker. While known for her annual holiday cookies and personalized gingerbread creations that delighted family and friends, she was also famous for her cheesecakes. Baking brought her tremendous joy, especially when sharing the tradition with two of her nieces and her great-nephews, who often joined her in the kitchen.

Family traditions and honoring her heritage were especially meaningful to Anne. She collected smokers at Christmastime and, alongside her sister Judy, faithfully carried on their mother’s potato dumpling recipe. Those beloved dumplings became the centerpiece of “Dumpling Fest,” an annual family gathering that Anne created and hosted during the last several years, bringing loved ones together around food, laughter and cherished memories.

At home, Anne found joy in cultivating her gardens, particularly her beloved dahlias, which she nurtured with great care. She also treasured the companionship of her pets, especially Lexee, Kiki, BunBun, and most recently Luna, who brought her comfort and happiness throughout the years.

Anne attended Crossroads Community Church, where she enjoyed serving in the children’s ministry.

Mitch and Anne’s family would like to thank Anne’s dearest friends, Kristin and Tracy, for all their help during this very difficult time. A special thank you as well to her Kohler family for all their support.

Anne is survived by the love of her life and best friend, Mitch Thuecks; her brothers, Mike (Carol) Sentowski and Jim (Karen) Sentowski; and her sister, Judy Westenberger. She is further survived by Mitch’s children: Heston Thuecks and Ceann (Eric) Nass, and his siblings: Charlotte (David) Limberg, Cheryl Lueloff, Karen (Stu) Sturzl, Wayne (Kay) Thuecks, and Lynne Keller.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ted “Buck” Sentowski, and her brother-in-law Steven Westenberger.

A Celebration of Anne’s life will be held at The Tufte Center at Road America, N 7390 WI-67, in Plymouth, on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 2:00-5:00 p.m.
