Alvin "Al" H. Bugbee

Alvin Herbert Bugbee, Jr. “Al”, of Sheboygan, WI, died peacefully on January 26, 2024 at Sharon Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls, WI, surrounded by his family.

Al was born on September 6, 1950, in La Crosse, WI to Alvin Herbert, Sr and Lorraine Mary (Young) Bugbee. When Al was 10 the family moved to Milwaukee, WI

Al graduated from Messmer High School in 1969.   He then entered the US Army Reserves and went to work for The American Motors Company.

On February 16, 1974 Al married Melissa Kathleen Kearney at St. John De Nepomuc Catholic Church in Milwaukee, WI.   They moved to Jackson, WI and started their family.    Shortly thereafter they moved to Mississauga, Ontario, Canada to be near Melissa’s sister and family.   After living in Canada for 14 years, they moved back to WI and finished raising their children in Kohler, WI.

Al loved the outdoors and spent countless hours making his yard a beautiful captivating oasis. In their later years they moved to a home in Sheboygan where Al befriended all of their neighbors who relied on Al for his witty jokes and lending hand.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Joan Dix, his mother in law Wava Kearney, brother in law Gregory Kearney and his son James Tyler Bugbee.

There are many who will miss his laugh and smile, his wife of 49 years Melissa, two sons Gregory (Sandy) Bugbee, Whitefish Bay WI  and Ryan Bugbee, Sheboygan WI.   Five grandchildren Madison, Maxwell, Joseph, Hunter and Emily; Brother-in-law Vic (Margaret Harrington) Kearney, sisters-in-law Diane Thompson and Colleen (Greg) Sorensen and many nieces and nephews located in the US and Canada.
