Allan J. Dekker

Allan J. Dekker, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Countryside Manor where he had been a resident. 

He was born in Sheboygan on November 30, 1955, to the late Eugene and Cornelia (Otte) Dekker. Allan graduated from North High School, class of 1974. In his early years, Allan worked for Morse Landscaping, Lake to Lake Dairy and then with the City of Sheboygan in the Public Works department, retiring in 2012. On October 27, 1979, Allan was united in marriage to Linda Kattreh. 

Allan and Linda enjoyed visiting various lakes on their boat fishing, spending time up north every year and camping at Terry Andrae State Park. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Allan is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Chad (Shamiah) and Aaron; grandchildren, Siena, Avila and Reid; brother, David (Mary Angeli) Dekker; sisters-in-law, Pam Dekker, Chris (Mike) Dufek, Dianne (Scott) Payne, Katie Lieberg; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Along with his parents and in-laws, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Dekker and brother-in-law Sheldon Lieberg.

Memorials in Allan’s name can be made to either Salvation Army or the Sheboygan County Warming Center.

Following Allan’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Countryside Manor for the excellent care shown to Allan and the comfort shown to Linda during this journey, especially Cristy and Jillian.
