Paul Heinecke

Paul K. Heinecke, age 68, of Sheboygan Falls passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at his home.

He was born in Sheboygan on January 26, 1954, to the late Karl and Gelaine (Kiel) Heinecke.  He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1972.  Paul proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as an aircraft mechanic.  He was very patriotic and was instrumental in the construction of the Sheboygan County Veterans Memorial. On July 7, 1973, Paul married Nancy Barthels.

Paul was a very proud papa to his grandchildren.  He will be deeply missed.

Paul is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Becky (Andy) Braun and Karen (Brad) Steinhardt; grandchildren, Lauren Braun, Alex Braun, Reagen Steinhardt and Kylie Steinhardt; siblings, Linda (Dave) Schoening, Kendra (Dave) Ford, Nancy (Bob) Schmidtman and Debbie Reineke; father-in-law, William Barthels; sister-in-law, Debbie Barthels; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Along with his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his siblings Barb Heinecke, John Heinecke and Pete Heinecke; mother-in-law, Carol Barthels and a brother-in-law Dale Reineke.

A Celebration of Paul’s life with military honors will take place at 4:00 PM on Friday, May 20, 2022, at Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd. in Howards Grove with Pastor Nathan Meador officiating.  Family will greet visitors from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.  Paul will be laid to rest at Wildwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Paul’s name.
