Many people do not realize that Cremation doesn’t have to mean no service, or possible viewing of the deceased. Cremation is a form of disposition, not unlike burial or entombment. Cremation services may include having the deceased body present during visitation and or service with cremation to follow. Some families prefer a simpler form of remembrance, possibly with the urn present, in this case, cremation occurs before any visitation or service.

Packaged Cremation Services

Below are the types of packaged cremation services that most families have requested of us, and what is included in those packes:

OFFERING A: Family Identification (Direct Cremation)

An informal identification takes place at our Westview Facility in a private viewing area and allows the opportunity to say goodbye. Includes our basic service charge, refrigeration and care of the body, the cremation fee. It also includes the washing, gowning or dressing, and placing of the un-embalmed body on a draped gurney for identification and viewing. Due to post-mortem circumstances after the death of the deceased, private viewing of the un-embalmed body may take place for up to ½ hour at the discretion of the funeral home by IMMEDIATE FAMILY (Spouse and Children only). An Urn offering Group B or $150 urn credit is also included.

OFFERING B: Gathering of Remembrance (Memorial Service-urn present)

A set time for family and friends to visit, share memories and show support. This can be at the Funeral Home or at another location. Includes our basic service charge, refrigeration and care of un-embalmed body, dressing and placing in a kraft ridgid cremation container, visitation time for family and friends, crematory fee, utility vehicle, and choice of Group B urn selection, or $150 urn credit towards urn upgrade.

OFFERING C: Ceremony of Simplicity (Funeral Home Only-Body present)

An opportunity for family and friends to come together in a planned tribute to a loved one. Includes our basic service charge, embalming and other preparation of the body, use of facilities and staff for viewing or gathering time, and funeral ceremony or service at Westview facility only, utility vehicle, crematory fee, Batesville Bayview Beech cremation container, and choice of Group C/D urn selection, or $300 urn credit towards urn upgrade.

OFFERING D: Gathering and Ceremony of Choice (Funeral Home or Church-(Body Present - 1 Day)

A personalized celebration of the life lived with both a set gathering time and planned ceremonial events. Includes our basic service charge, preparations of the body, use of facilities and staff for viewing or gathering time for family and friends, funeral ceremony, utility vehicles, crematory fee, Oak rental casket or premium cremation container, and choice of Group C/D urn selection, or $300 urn credit towards urn upgrade.

OFFERING D Optional 2nd day Visitation and Service at other Place - Includes hearse transfers to service location, equipment and staff.

FULL SERVICE DIRECT CREMATION	$ 2645.00 to $ 3540.00
The charge for a direct cremation includes removal of remains, care and refrigeration for 48 hours, our crematory fee and processing, necessary authorizations, and basic services of the staff. This charge does not include the Coroner permit fee, or the use of facilities and staff for any visitation or ceremony, public or private, prior to the cremation.
You can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are composite laminated caskets and reinforced fiberboard boxes.
