Private Service for Evelyn Kraft
Location: Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center
Evelyn Ruth Kraft, (nee Matthias), age 82, died Friday July 11, 2008 at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center in Sheboygan. She was born December 27, 1925 in Cleveland, WI., a daughter of the late Henry and Elsa (Busse) Matthias. When Evelyn was one year old, her mother died and Henry then married Gertrude Buchberger.
Evelyn attend Clevland Grade School and was a 1944 graduate of Sheboygan Central High School. She had worked at Aluminum Goods in Manitowoc and there she married Ralph Kraft of Beaver Dam. Ralph preceded her in death.
Moving to Sheboygan, Evelyn worked at Ross Glove and retired from Lakeland Manufacturing where she was recognized for over 25 years of service. After retiring, she continued to remain active, working for Kangaroo Messenger Service for over 5 years.
She is survived by two sons, Jefferson Henry (Special friend Rozanne Azelton) of California, David Gordon (Mary) of Illinois; one daughter, Susan (Stan) Grycan of Sheboygan; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Willard (Alice) Matthais of Cleveland and Bart (Betty) Matthais of Watertown; one sister, Gloria (Donald) Hopf of Howards Grove. In addition to her husband and parents, Evelyn was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and their wives, Merlin (Jeanette) Matthais and Elroy (Sadie) Matthias; one sister and her husband Dorothy (Joe) Pitsch.
A private family Memorial Service will be held at Zimmer's Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center on Saturday July 19, 2008. Reverend Helen Nickel, pastor of St. Andrew Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.
A memorial fund has been established in Evelyn's name for St. Andrew Lutheran Church. Correspondece may be directed to Gloria Hopf at 123 South Grant Street, Howards Grove, WI 53083.

Visitation and Service for Albert Usadel

Albert G. Usadel Jr., age 81, formerly of the Town of Herman, died Tuesday July 15, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Sheboygan where he has been a resident for the last 3 years. Albert was born on January 18, 1927 in the Town of Herman, a son of the late Albert G. and Emilie (Neumann) Usadel Sr. He graduated from Howards Grove High School in 1945.
Albert married the former Irene Otto on November 20, 1958. The couple farmed in the town of Herman on the Usadel Homestead. Albert attended the Singer Sewing Machine Center and opened Usadels Sewing Machine Repair, servicing sewing machines for many years.
Albert was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove where he served on the Consistory and was also a member of the Men's Brotherhood of Trinity and the Lutheran Laymen's League of Sheboygan County.
Surviving Albert is his wife Irene; a son, Wayne (Debbie) Usadel of Sheboygan and a daughter Mary (Jim) Madden of Sheboygan Falls; three grandchildren, Zach and Austin Madden, David (Brynn) Usadel. In addition to his parents, Albert was also preceded in death by three sisters.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday July 19, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church of Howards Grove. Reverend Darrel Bergelin, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the CHURCH on Saturday from 11:00 a.m.until the time of the service.
A memorial fund has been established to Trinity Lutheran Church in the name of Albert G. Usadel.
