Kurt F. Kohler, age 54, of Sheboygan, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday June 11, 2008. He was born in Arlington Virginia on October 25, 1953, a son of the late Robert F. and Catherine (Stephens) Kohler. Kurt graduated from Franklin High School in Reisterstown, Maryland and was educated in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland.

Kurt served his country in the U.S. Navy. Over his career, he had worked for the Sherwin Williams Company, Bendix Corporation and Allied Signal before relocating to Key Largo Florida. There, Kurt worked on boats, enjoyed scuba diving, fishing and listening to his hero, Jimmy Buffet (he was a parrot-head).

After moving to Sheboygan, Kurt met, and later married the love of his life, Paris F. Archambeau. Together, they shared over seven beautiful years of love. Kurt's best friend in the world and partner in crime was his grandson, Victor Wilson, of whom he was most proud and loved immensely.

Surviving Kurt is his loving wife, Paris; a daughter, Jamie M. (Special Friend Bruce Russo) Wilson; two grandchildren, Victor Francis Wilson and Leroy Robert Russo; a sister, Jackie (Robert A.) Deyo of Pennsylvania. Kurt is also survived by several nieces and nephew, his special friend and nephew, Robbie Deyo, great nieces, nephews, his aunt, Mary Elizabeth Judge, and his special sister-in-law and brother in law, Vickie (Scott) Thompson, his friends through thick and thin, Paul and Patti Turner.

A gathering and celebration of Kurt's life will be held on Monday June 16, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at Zimmer's Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road (Hwy 42 and CTH JJ), Sheboygan. Pastor Greg Whelton, will officiate the service. Friends may gather at the funeral home starting at 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Cremation will follow the service at Westview, and his cremated remains will be laid to rest in the waters which he loved so much.

Paris and her family wish to thank all the Cardiology Team at the Aurora Medical Center, Dr. Scott Derse and staff, and his good friend and neurologist Dr. Stephen Kunkel and Nurse Katie for the support, concern and care Kurt received.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in the name of Kurt F. Kohler.
