Randall G. Thomas, 50, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, June 03, 2008, following a courageous battle with cancer, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice with his loving family by his side.
Randy was born December 30, 1957 in Sheboygan to Jerome and Audrey (Peters) Thomas. He graduated from North High School in 1976. On November 9, 1979, he married his soul mate Lori Kleckner at St. Wendell Catholic Church in Cleveland.
He was a member of St. John St. Peter Lutheran Church. He was employed by the Kewaunee Marina and currently for Great Lakes Marine in Port Washington. He enjoyed traveling to Florida, fishing, and snowmobiling. He was devoted to his wife and family, and was a dedicated employee. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.
In addition to his wife Lori, he is survived by his sons Kevin and Joshua, his paternal grandmother Catherine Buyze of Sheboygan Falls, his maternal grandmother-in-law Evelyn Brost of Cleveland, his brothers: Jerome (Nancy) Thomas of Sheboygan, Mark (Robin) Thomas of Plymouth, William (Jane) Thomas of Sheboygan, Steven (Denise) Thomas of Newton, his sisters Bonnie (Michael) Carlson of Aurora, IL, Pamela Thomas of Longmont, CO, Lisa Lee of Arkansas, his father and mother-in-law Edward (Marlene) Kleckner of Cleveland. He is further survived by his brother-in-law Michael (Jane) Kleckner of Sheboygan Falls, his sister-in-law Susan (Chuck) Holzwart of Cleveland, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Thomas and a great-niece Brianna Westermeyer.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 6, 2008, at 6:30 P.M. at St. John St. Peter Lutheran Church in Cleveland. The Reverend David Endorf, Pastor, will officiate. Friends may call on Friday at Church from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service. Family burial will take place on Saturday at St. Johannes Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of 2K, Aurora S.M.M.C., Dr. Haid and his staff, Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic staff, and the caring and compassionate staff of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, and a very special thank you to everyone involved in making Randy's benefit a success.
