Visitation and Funeral Service for Hildegarde Sachse
Location: Luther Memorial Lutheran Church- Sheboygan
Hildegarde E. Sachse, age 91, formerly of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Tuesday May 27, 2008 at the Plymouth Care Center. She was born on August 13, 1916 in the Town of Herman, a daughter of the late Otto and Olga (Stecker) Brendel.

Hildegard Brendel and Richard Sachse were united in marriage on July 31, 1937 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove. The coupled farmed in town Rhine, and Hildegarde was also employed at Tecumseh in New Holstein over 21 years, retiring in 1978. Richard preceded her in death on September 17, 1999. She enjoyed time spent vacationing up north in Forest County at the cottage, fishing and crocheting. Hildegarde was a faithful member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.

Surviving Hildegarde is a son, Jerome (Marlene) of Sheboygan; two daughters, Joanne (Dennis) Stauss of Elkhart Lake and Bonnie (Neal) Baum of Waupaca. She is further survived by eight grandchildren, Debra, Devin, Dawn, Michael, Michelle, Melissa, Joshua, Jami and eight great grandchildren, Michael, Christin, Sarina, Cody, Heather,Zachary, Trevor and Jared; two great-great grandchildren, Kadyn Schwartz and Delaney Varsho; three sisters, Eleanora (Harold) Nick and Edna Bender, both of Howards Grove, Laverne Reiss of Elkhart Lake.

In addition to her husband and parents, Hildegarde was preceded in death by an infant daughter, a grandson, Jeffrey Stauss; three brothers, Roman, Gilbert and Harvey Brendel.

A Funeral Service will be held for Hildegarde on Friday May 30, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church with the Reverend John Schmidt, pastor, officiating. Entombment will be held at the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum of Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Church on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

A memorial fund has been established to Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in the name of Hildegarde E. Sachse.

Hildegarde's family wishes to thank the staff of the Plymouth Care Center for the excellent loving care she received as a resident.
