Joseph B. Wiessler Private Family Services
Joseph B. Weissler, 83, formerly of Cedarburg, WI, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Sheboygan Falls, WI.
Joseph was born March 15, 1925 in St. Louis, MO to the late Christian J. and Mary (Dudenhoeffer) Weissler. He graduated from medical school at St Louis University in 1948 and after internship, completed four years of psychiatric training. On June 5, 1951 he married Ann Marie Kingston in New Brunswick, Canada. She preceded him in death in April of 1986. He began his private psychiatric practice in Sheboygan, WI. In 1957 he moved to Appleton, WI, where he practiced until his retirement in 1985. Following his retirement, he enjoyed bicycling, and skiing in Wisconsin and Boulder, CO, where he resided for 10 years. He was an avid reader.
He is survived by his daughter Mary B. (Jack Kaestner) Weissler of Whitefish Bay, WI, George K. Weissler (Nancy Slichenmyer) of Evanston, IL, Mark C. (Ann) Weissler of Chapel Hill, NC, and Suzanne W. (Richard) Kaehler of Cedar Grove, WI. He is further survived by his grandchildren Katherine A. Weissler, Samuel K. Weissler, and Joseph K. Weissler. He was preceded in death by his brothers Fr. Viator Weissler, Christian F. Weissler, and a sister Sr. Marie Weissler.
According to Joseph's wishes, private family services were held.
The family would prefer memorials be given to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice (W2850 Hwy 28 Sheboygan Falls, WI 53085).
