Marvin G. Zahner, 79, of Sheboygan, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. He was born November 23, 1930 in Sheboygan to the late Alvin and Helen (Heim) Zahner. On September 5, 1953 he married the former Gloria Schueffner in Sheboygan. Marvin owned and operated Marv’s Auto and Body Service from 1957 until his retirement in 2001. After his retirement he worked part time for Extended Care transporting patients to their appointments. Marvin was a member of the Eastern Wisconsin Stock Car Association. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, stock car racing and his cabin up north.

In addition to his wife, Gloria, he is survived by Randy (Debbie) Zahner, Sheboygan; one granddaughter, Katie (Chad) Dekarske, Plymouth; one grandson, Brandon Zahner, Sheboygan; a special great grandson, Mason Dekarske; one sister, Mary Ann (Joe) Druml; Menominee Falls and one sister-in-law, Florence Thomas, Plymouth. Nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded by his parents; one son, Larry and one brother-in-law, Allan Thomas.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 25, at 1:00 p.m. at Zimmer’s Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 & JJ) with the Rev. John Schmidt officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
