Judith M. Kellner

Judith M. Kellner, age 82, of Horseshoe Lake, Town of Meeme, passed away at her residence on February 3, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Sheboygan on May 10, 1927, a daughter of the late Edmund and Cecelia (Manthy) Kellner. Judy Attended Holy Name School and was a graduate of North High School.

Judy was employed by the Sheboygan Public School Administrative Office for many years.

In 1955, Judy and her mother located a property on Horseshoe Lake. The family was one of the first to build a cottage on the lake. Judy, her mother, father, sister and brother spent many evenings at the cottage and fishing on the lake. They loved to take out the paddle boat and cruise the lake. In 1972, Judy built an addition onto the cottage, making it her permanent residence. An independent person, Judy maintained the cottage with minimal help.

Her final request was to end her days in her home in that beautiful setting. She spoke as long as she could about the many memories she had of all of the good times that she had with family and friends at the Lake. Her request came true by the wonderful neighbors, friends, family, and caring staff of St. Nicholas Hospital
Home Hospice.

Surviving Judy is her nephews, Dan (Jennifer) Kellner of Ada and Thomas (Maureen) Kellner of Springhill Fl.; a niece Mary (Tom) Wimberly of Biloxi, MS along with her good friends, Bob Christian and Lovie Vollrath. In addition to her parents, Judy was also preceded in death by two brothers, Karl and James.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Judy on Monday February 8, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 807 Huron Avenue, Sheboygan. Reverend James Connell, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the CHURCH on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

A memorial fund has been established in Judy’s name for St. Nicholas Hospital Home Hospice.
